Multicultural Public Speaking
On Tuesday 19th June our school hosted the Local Finals for the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition. I was impressed with the quality of the speeches in both the Year 3 and 4 as well as Years 5 and 6 groups.
All competitors showed a maturity beyond their years in the content of their speeches. I believe the future is in very good hands if this is an indication of the mindset and beliefs of our young people.
Particular mention must be made of our four participants: Tilly and William in our Year 3 and 4 section and Imogen and Shi-Lee in our Year 5 and 6 section. Their speeches were well prepared and presented and they were excellent ambassadors for our school.
Finally, congratulations to William (3/4P) who won the Year 3 and 4 section and will now progress to the Regional Finals. We wish him all the very best for the next stage in this year's competition.
